Do you feel like you have gotten off track with your health?
Do you feel overwhelmed and not quite sure how to get back on track?
It feels good when you get in a groove.
And it can be very easy to fall out of that groove.
Celebrations happen. Vacations happen. Holidays happen. And you indulge. And you should!
And sometimes that indulging can make it hard to get back in the groove with your health plan.
Listen in or read on below for four pillars that will help you up-level your health from no matter where you find yourself.
Many times, it’s the food that trips you up first. You go on vacation and you eat all the things. You enjoy all the foods.
And sometimes that makes it difficult for you to get back on track once you get home. You want to just keep eating that ice cream, cookies, chips, fill in the blank with your greatest weakness 😉 The cravings happen!
Your cravings can create a crazy roller coaster ride that is hard to get off!
Here are a few tips:
Add in more healthy foods, like a small salad or extra veggies at meals.
Stop buying (and/or throw out, give away) those unhealthy sweets and salty snacks so they aren’t in your house.
Make sure you are eating enough and aren’t hungry.
Have you found it a struggle to exercise lately?
Unfortunately, if your food gets off track, your regular exercise routine may follow.
And if exercise is not your favorite, sometimes it can be even harder to get back into your exercise/movement routine.
What can you do to jump start exercising again?
What can you commit to and keep your promise to yourself? Start there.
If it is one time a week, great! Do that. Then add another day the next week and so on until you reach your goal.
Are you sleeping enough? At least 7-8 hours?
Sleep is important to your overall health and well-being.
When you don’t get enough sleep, it can affect how much you eat, make your cravings go crazy and cause you to gain weight.
Then if you are tired you may not want to exercise either. So, sleep alone can crush your progress with up-leveling your health.

Do you take time to relax and just be? Or do you go, go, go?
Taking time for rest, recovery, and mental health is just as important as the other three pillars.
Give yourself some time to sit in a chair and nap or daydream.
If you push yourself really hard exercising, take a recovery day.
Make sure you have someone to laugh and talk with. It is so beneficial for your mental health and well-being.
If you fall off track for one reason or another, don’t beat yourself up! Come back to these 4 pillars and pick at least one pillar and start there.
Don’t overwhelm yourself by taking on too much! Up-level in that one and then move to one of the other pillars you know needs some attention and focus on that one too.
When you make time for these 4 pillars – and are INTENTIONAL and CONSISTENT with them – you feel SO MUCH BETTER.
