How to Easily Lose Weight

Are you trying to lose weight? Have you tried every diet under the sun and then some?

It seems everyone wants a magic bullet to weight loss.

Just cut your calories and exercise more. That will do it. The end.

Just kidding!!

What if you didn’t have to cut calories and could still lose weight?

I know it’s possible. I did it myself.

Hang in and let’s look at how to lose weight and keep it off… if you choose.

500 Calories doesn’t always equal 500 Calories!

I know that may not make sense but hear me out.

If you were to eat 500 calories of fast-food hamburgers and french fries it would not be the same as eating 500 calories of hamburgers and french fries at a sit-down restaurant.

Likewise, if you were to eat 500 calories of homemade hamburgers and french fries the 500 calories would be different.

How so?

The quality of the hamburger and fries will more than likely be different at each place you eat.

When you eat at home and make your own homemade food you have 100% control over the quality of food you buy and consume.

That 500 calories of homemade hamburgers and french fries you make could now be 100% organic grass-fed beef. The fries could be organic potatoes that are cooked with healthier fats like avocado oil and maybe baked or air-fried.

The bun might be made from healthier grains with only a few ingredients on the label instead of more than 25, some that you can’t even pronounce. Or the buns could even be homemade.

But OK it’s still 500 calories which is 500 calories.

Yes, it’s still 500 calories.

Another huge difference is that when quality food is consumed your body knows what to do with those calories. Your body recognizes that this is real food and utilizes it.

When “food” is consumed that isn’t as high of quality then many things can happen. Your body probably says…

“What was that?”

and may store it as fat in your body because of the toxin load.

Your body doesn’t always remove toxins away immediately. They can get stored as fat away from vital organs that are needed for your survival.

Now you have just done the opposite of what you want.

Another thing that will probably happen is you may experience inflammation. This could be sore or painful joints, brain fog, low energy, headaches, feeling bloated, congestion, diarrhea or constipation to name a few.

Hopefully this helps you realize just how much of an impact what you eat can have body-weight wise, inflammation wise and that calories are a poor way to look at food.

Looking at calories overlooks a very important fact: the actual NUTRITION different foods give your body.

Food is so much more than just calories!

Food can be packed with vitamins, minerals, and other compounds that help build and power your muscles and bones, create and regulate hormones, boost your immune system, and help your cells and organs do their jobs.

Food can also be filled with unhealthy fats, added sugars, excess sodium, and refined grains that make it harder for your body to function at its best.

So how can you easily lose weight?

The idea is to eat MORE of the foods that add value to your body … like veggies, fruits, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats.

And also, to eat less of those that don’t contribute to your health & wellbeing (like added sugars and ultra-processed foods).

It’s not always about the calories!

So, the idea is for you to swap healthier food choices over time unless you are a person that can just jump in with both feet.

Stop looking at the number of calories on the food label and start learning what those calories are made up of.

What are the actual ingredients in that food? Focus there.

This method worked for my husband and I. I know it can work for you as well.
